DESCRIPTION:About this lecture:\n\nWHAT: The talk will focus on universal healing precepts found in the Holy Bible\, especially in Christ Jesus’ life and teachings\, showing how they are available for anyone to understand and experience through the lens of Christian Science. \nWHY: Around the world people are looking to prayer for solutions\, safety\, and well-being. “We will explore the relationship between prayer and healing through the universal divine truth that unites us\,” says Signs. “We will talk about the practical understanding of God as ever-present love so we can make progress\, unafraid like trusting children.” \nSharing examples of healing from her own life and professional practice of Christian Science\, Ms. Signs will explain why Christian Science is both Christian and scientific\, meaning that people can prove its effectiveness for themselves\, as fully described in the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures\, written by the founder of the Christian Science movement\, Mary Baker Eddy. \nMs. Signs will also touch on the life of Mary Baker Eddy\, who came to understand\, confirm\, and teach what she felt was original Christian healing. Eddy herself said she was especially inspired by Jesus’ demand\, “He that believes on me\, the works that I do will he do also; and greater works than these will he do\, because I go unto my Father” (found in the Gospel of John 14:12 in the Bible). \nFor over 150 years\, people around the world have worked to follow Christ Jesus in this practice of Christianity and continue to do so today\, experiencing healings of physical ills and personal difficulties.

SUMMARY:Thanksgiving Day Service
DESCRIPTION:We hope you join us in Thanksgiving at our joyful Thanksgiving Day service where we will sing and gather together to hear God’s word– and give thanks! This service will begin with a reading of the Thanksgiving Day Proclamation\, followed by short readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy on the topic of Thanksgiving. Then\, attendees will be invited to share heartfelt testimonies of gratitude and healing. \nChild care is also provided for young children. \nThis service will be in-person\, though Zoom and Phone options for the service are available\, as shown in the box below. Please see more information on how to share a Thanksgiving Day testimony of gratitude and healing below\, depending on how you are attending the service. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn Person\n\nTo join in person\, come to our building at 4829 Folsom Blvd\, and an usher will share with you all the information you need to know. \nTo give a testimony in-person\, please either stand or raise your hand and wait for the usher to bring you the microphone.
